The international mulletary fund was originally suggested as an idea to get me to grow a Ziggy Stardust carrot-coloured mullet for peace. However, red nose day 2003 adopted the Big Hairdo theme, and one thing led to another ....
Raising money for charity. As if that isn't enough, we're also about glam-rock, and that most glam-rock of hairdos, the mullet. We want you, the unsuspecting public citizen, to go forth and mulletiply! We will be organizing (hah!) a sponsored glam-rock-athon on the 14th of March 2003 -- this will involve me wearing a very silly Tina Turner wig and singing bad songs. If (as I sincerely hope) you like bad songs, you can even suggest subjects for them.
It couldn't be (much) simpler. If you want to be a mulleteer, all you need do is print out the following two documents:

Then you fill them in with nice people's addresses. Then you give the money to Comic Relief, and tell them we sent you. Cunning, eh?
If you don't want to be bewigged yourself, but want to support our noble (hah! again) efforts, please go directly to The Official Red Nose Day Website -- after all, they're the men with the plen! Ahem. They're absolutely fantastic, all the money goes to really good causes, and why not cut out the middle mullet man? (That's us, by the way.) Plus, they're equipped with totally brilliant GiftAid technology which means, if you pay tax in the UK, the tax you paid on the money you give them goes to charity as well!
Well, Comic Relief is all about being silly for charity -- about putting your money where your mouth is, and your mouth where your haircut is. We want to get people out there and behaving like idiots! That's because we're idiots and we feel lonely.
That said, if you feel like giving lots of money to charity for no reason at all, far be it from me to stop you. In fact, why not?
